WAYS TO PRAY

A religious education workshop series for all ages co-sponsored by the UUCW Adult Enrichment and Religious Education Programs. Children, youth, adults, and elders welcome!

Wednesday June 4, 2008
6:30 – 8:00 pm

As Unitarian Universalists, we pray in many different ways. Some people pray using songs, chants, or dances. Some people pray with art or with their bodies. Some people meditate, and some people don’t call what they do “praying” at all. Join us for an intergenerational opportunity of stories, songs, discussion, and activities exploring a different type of prayer each month. Activities and discussions will be available for all ages and interest levels.
A small monetary donation for supplies is requested.

June 4:  Labyrinths

Catherine has been offering yoga classes at UUCW on Monday evenings for a year. After receiving several requests for family yoga, we are pleased to offer this exciting opportunity.

Bring the family together for meaningful interaction time and for experiences that nurture the family as a whole and as individuals.

This class builds upon the basics of Hatha Yoga in a playful format designed for multiple developmental stages. Family members will receive an important bonding experience, created specifically to support their relationships with one another. The class introduces the benefits of yoga to younger people and provides a playful approach to consciously taking responsibility for the physical body, mind, and emotions.
